A Brief History of Tennis 4 Anyone, Inc.

Tennis 4 Anyone, Inc. grew as a direct result of founder Shelley L. Susman's vision of free, community based tennis instruction available to all. She is an advocate of the "no tennis tax" theory to free up public courts at low or NO cost and provide free programming and equipment up to 52 weeks of the year. Shelley has dedicated her life to making tennis accessible for all. She founded the non-profit organization, which will be based out of public parks, schools and recreation centers, in order to share her passion for the game and what it can do to enrich people's lives. The goal of Tennis 4 Anyone, Inc. is to provide programming and scholarships, and to help municipalities to provide tennis to people in their communities and bring joy to those that it touches. Tennis is a lifetime sport and teaches fantastic life lessons to everyone that comes into the game at all levels and all ages.

Mission Statement

Tennis 4 Anyone's mission is to develop passionate, healthy, communities around tennis for all ages and abilities. Our goals are to:

Provide access for ANYONE that has a desire to pick up a racquet to go out and hit some balls and receive free lessons on a regular basis on maintained courts for ALL to learn the game!

Tennis 4 Anyone will provide free equipment and programming, as well as incentives for active lifestyles while utilizing public park tennis courts with no fees required, thereby growing the game and the communities in which Tennis 4 Anyone exists.
